How to use Mataono for your Zoom Meetings

Adding Mataono to your Zoom account

1. You need a Mataono account before you add it to Zoom. Either register for our app or talk to our sales team.
2. Login to your Zoom Account and open this link. Alternatively, search for "Mataono for Zoom Meetings".
3. Click "Add" to add Mataono to your Zoom account.
4. You will be asked to allow the connection between Mataono and Zoom. Which permissions are needed and how we use the data can be found in the description at the Zoom App Marketplace.
5. If not already logged in into your Mataono account you will need to provide your credentails.
6. Afterwards, everything is set up for using Mataono with Zoom.

Hint: At least a Pro licence with Zoom is required to activate the needed cloud recording.

Analysing emotions in Zoom Meetings

When you create a meeting in Zoom it is automatically synchronized with Mataono. When the time of your meeting arrives just jump into the Zoom call (recording must be enabled).

Zoom will start recording as soon as one of the organizers enters the meeting.

After the meeting is finished, the recording of the meeting is transferred to Mataono's analysis automatically. You will get an email on the email address you provided when registering for Mataono once the analysis is finished. You need to assign the meeting participants to the detected faces. Afterwards, you see the analysis.

Removing Mataono from your Zoom account

1. Login to your Zoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
2. Click Manage and Added Apps or search for the "Mataono for Zoom meetings" app.
3. Click the "Mataono for Zoom meetings" app.
4. Click Remove.

Removing and de-authorizing is handled by Zoom. Your analysed video recordings and face descriptors are deleted after each analysis, so no need to delete them by yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my meeting not visible in Mataono?

If you have connected your Zoom account with Mataono the meetings will be synchronized eventually. Usually, Mataono automatically detects new meetings in your Zoom account. Sometimes, when the update process is stopped for some reasons, your meeting might not be visible in Mataono at first. But we regularly check for missed meetings, so it will be displayed eventually.

When do I know that the analysis is finished?

You will receive an email notification from Mataono once the analysis is finished. Make sure support@mataono.com is not on your spam list.

Are all meetings being analysed?

At the moment there is no option to exclude meetings from analysis. But when you stop the recording at the beginning of the meeting you can prevent the analysis.
